Going into Windows Settings and searching for "version" shows the "About" page, which seems to show everything. so maybe that's not the best way to ask for Windows version info. WINVER just shows a pop-up window that shows too much proprietary company info on it, and I can't select text in it, just make a cropped screenshot.
